Klein Volunteer Fire Department Basic Training Class 2008

Klein and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Departments graduated 15 new recruits after the completion of the final day of Live Fire Training at Texas A & M in College Station on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Their final day including Live Fire burning to allow the recruits to get some hands on training with extinguishing live fire situations. Recruits completed the 57 hours basic training class over a three month period which included classroom and hand-on training. We are proud to have these members join the departments and serve their communities.


Klein Volunteer Fire Department Basic Training Class 2007-002
 

Klein and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Departments graduated 10 new recruits after the completion of the final day of Live Fire Training at Texas A & M in College Station on Saturday, October 20, 2007. Their final day including Live Fire burning to allow the recruits to get some hands on training with extinguishing live fire situations. Recruits completed the 54 hours basic training class over a three month period which included classroom and hand-on training. We are proud to have these members join the departments and serve their communities.


Klein Volunteer Fire Department Basic Training Class 2007-001

Klein and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Departments graduated 20 new recruits after the completion of the final day of Live Fire Training at Texas A & M in College Station on Saturday, April 28, 2007. New recruits completed the 54 hours basic training class which included classroom and hand-on training. We are proud to have these members join the department and serve their communities.


KVFD Basic Training Class 2006-002 wraps up with "Live Fire Training"

Klein Volunteer Fire Department and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Department members complete their basic training class with Live Fire training to wrap up three months of training. Department members are required to complete the basic training which includes classroom and hands on training which includes First Aid, Hoses, Fire Stream, Haz-Mat, Ladders, Department Organization, Fire Behavior to name a few. Both departments work well together to meet the goals of each class. The 15 men and women complete their training with a trip to Texas A & M burn field in College Station for some hands on "Live Fire Training". Congratulations to the new members that have completed their training and are now "firefighters" ready to server their community.



Basic Class 2006

The Klein Volunteer Fire Department Basic Class 2006-002 is well under way with 18 new recruits from the Klein and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Departments. The training includes class room and hands on training during the 3 months of training. Training classes cover 25 different subjects during the 57 hours of training including first aid, fire streams, hose, forcible entry, ladders, SCBA, RIT and ends up with a Live Fire at Texas A & M burn field scheduled for October 21, 2006. These men and women donate their time to train and serve their community. The training is conducted as if it was the real thing - students are provided with training manuals and workbooks for their homework. After their final "Live Fire Burn" at A & M burn field the recruits complete their final exam then are ready to respond


The Recruits of the Klein Volunteer Fire Department Basic Class 2006-001move out of the class room to complete some hands on training. This class recruit has 24 new recruits from the Klein and Cypress Creek Volunteer Fire Departments. Training covers 25 different subjects during the 57 hours of training including first aid, fire streams, hose, forcible entry, ladders, SCBA and ends up with a Live Fire at Texas A & M burn field. These recruits donate their time to train and serve their community.

We all look forward to them completing their training at the end of April 2006.
