Klein Fire Department held its 2000 Pumper
Races and family picnic at Klein High School. There
were fun and games for all who attended. The kids were
entertained with games, face painting and even a piñata.
The skills races included a wall simulator, sled race,
pumper race and our Iron Man competition. Not only do
we have fun during the races it also allows us to practice
our skills and have a little friendly competition between
stations. Everyone enjoyed the dozens of hotdogs and BBQ
sandwiches that were served. No rain this year has been the
case in the past and all went well throughout the day.
Special thanks to our coordinators who worked hard to get
the day planned and get all of the events off without a
hitch.
The winner of our Iron Man Competition for the second
year in a row was Mike
O'hare.
