Klein Fire Department along with Tomball Fire Department recently assisted National Geographic Explorer with the filming of opening segments to upcoming programs.  The first program concerns dangerous profession and will be aired August 13 on CNBC.  Klein and Tomball both were involved in the background activities you will see during the intro.  Members that participated had a great time working with the National Geographic crew.  We hope to work again with National Geographic on future projects. This will provide excellent advertisement for the continuing need for volunteers in the area departments.  We are grateful for the chance to highlight our respective departments to the world.

The Fire action shots were filmed in Memorial Chase and at the Klein Training Facility behind Station 33. We would like to thank MR. and Mrs. Auippa for allowing us to use their house and yard for the outdoor filming.  We also assisted in the filming of an upcoming episode concerning Africanized Bee's.  The Bee footage was filmed at Station 36 near State Hwy 249 and Spring Cypress.  Also with us was Darrell Lister from Bee Busters who has been our "Bee Expert" and trainer of the Klein and Tomball Bee Teams for many years.
